My very first project
Hi all, I'm new to IH with no particular coding skills, currently working in the IT industry just because it was an option at school. I am at the point in my life where I want to take full control of my destiny.
I recently learned that you can create a website with absolutely no coding through WordPress and since I've always had a creative side I decided to had a go at an idea I had.
Could you guys have a look and let me know what you think

Isn't it what AirBnB experiences does? I guess in your case the guests don't have to stay with the host - just connect with locals. On a practical note, a touristy place like that has so many visitors that the only way the locals would do that is to make money. In less trafficked places you may be able to find locals who are genuinely happy to show someone around. Just a thought.

I would put a one line explanation above the fold and use a more topical imagery.
Less text helps. You need to capture someone's attention to make them read anything more than a one line of text.
Are you just playing with a web design or do you think of it as a potential business idea?

No, definitely not what AirBnB does., It's just meeting up and doing something fun together.
I'm optimistic at a 70/30 on the locals wanting to meet tourists genuinely. We are still more in the "less trafficked places". No mass tourism.
The web design idea is on test with this project. If I get some interests then I might take it seriously.
Hello, for me your page is hard to understand , I would change your hero section for a white bg and a title like " Connect with locals" something like that , also I add an image of tourists interacting with locals. A CTA to link to "what is vacation connect"
Design is so simple, looks like anybody can build that web in 1 hour. So I suggest you use a template instead.
Add a FAQ section too.
