My YouTube Channel Results after One Year.(With Screenshots from Analytics)

100 videos. 60 subscribers. 3617views. In this year.
Long story:
I started this channel very randomly just thought to create a video and after I got the idea I started recording. I keep the video on my channel to this day. Just for you , if you want to check out how cringe it was.

I really wanted to grow this channel. To how much ? I don’t know. My goals changed throughout the year. First I wanted a lot and now I only want a 1000 subscribers.
I posted very consistently and that was my strategy to grow. 2 videos per week every week no excuses.
It was a very cool experience after all. I don’t regret anything. Couple of people commented very nice things about my videos and I am very thankful to them.
Part of me thinks that the reason my channel didn’t grow is because I was desperate for views. And people can feel that in my videos. The sad part ? I still am. I look at the analytics quite often. But I think most YouTubers are to an extent.
In this second year my strategy will change a little bit by focusing more on quality rather than quantity. But I’ll still post 2 videos per. week no excuses. Also I will post a video to the FreeCodeCamp for more exposure.
No I don’t plan on quitting any time soon. Actually I think this is only the beginning. To anyone that wants to grow a YouTube channel or just anything for that matter, DON’T give up man, I believe in you!

I'm very much in the same boat as you. I started my programming YouTube channel on November last year but my analytics and strategy on creating videos are very different from yours.
I have uploaded only 11 videos so far. Mostly because I'm lazy but also because I put a lot of effort into creating each one of them. It usually takes me around a week to finish one video.
Analyzing my most popular video which is a TailwindCSS tutorial I notice a few things. I uploaded it right after TailwindCSS 2.0 got released which obviously drove a lot of people to look for tutorials. Even though the production quality is poor, the video is straight to the point and easy to follow as I show a lot of visual examples.
I tried to promote my videos on my Twitter but I only have less than 50 followers I didn't get much traffic. By far most of my views come from YouTube search.

I came here to say this.
A good test would be to create your videos about trending topics and make sure the keywords are in the title (as typed into search).
yeah but it was hard for me to find trending topics. I normally don't follow trending topics of wha comes out. Probably should do a video on github copilot or something.

Good luck. Building an audience is one of the most excruciating things I've ever tried to do in my life. Kudos to anybody who breaks through. It's like pulling teeth... and yet once you have an audience you are pretty much set. From what I've heard it makes everything else much easier (launches, feedback, further growth).
60 subs after 1 year makes me not even want to try to build an audience on YouTube.

As he lays out in that vid, once you have the viewers your options for revenue and growth increase dramatically, but it does take a good couple of years of consistently putting out great content.
yeah I started with the only goal of putting 2 videos per week. But quantity only gets you so far. Ideally we would put out consistent quality videos all the time. Which is a challenge if you don't have the time like you mentioned
What has changed in June? Your views have been going up steadily since June.
Hey sarrcom thanks for the question. Not much I think I just got to this point where I just have a lot of videos and I've hit a snowball effect because of it. Also one video got 800+ views and another one 300+. Those have been adding up.
What you are doing for the distribution? I am in the same boat as you. I have figured out that distribution is the key. Share with your friends, share in the sub- Reddit.
I don't have huge subscribers but I feel this is the only way. Watch the "Think Media" Youtube channel to grow your audience.

Not long ago he had like 2k subs. Now 40k+. But look how much he has improved since then. That's what I will do as well

I wonder if a factor could be how niched/targetted your content is, or how niched it appears?
Personally, I've only ever subscribed to programming channels that go deep on whatever I'm interested in (e.g. web dev).
Just a brief look at your channel and you have a mix of content like web dev, computer science topics, Java, data science etc. which at a glance can seem scattered unless you position it towards a specific type of audience who would be interested in watching this wide range of content.
Otherwise, it may be more difficult to get people to stick around.
Yeah it's true. Thank you for sharing. I share whatever I'm currently working on. And that includes very different fields sometimes. But I will try to improve on this and niche down a little. I was thinking to even make a value proposition so people know exactly what to expect when they subscribe to my channel.
