My newsletter is called Cybersecurity Market Insights (https://signup.fractionconsulting.co) and it's a monthly, long-form newsletter that does a deep dive into a different market space on cybersecurity products from an buyer's and investor's perspective. It's modeled after Trends.vc but with a hyper-focus on this one area.

I write a free and Pro version (https://gumroad.com/l/security-insights-pro) and have a few annual subscribers paying currently with a few paid individual issues purchased.

Hey Mike, interesting niche! So here are some ideas for sponsorships:

Synk as sponsor of Tech Productivity
Securefarm as sponsor of Strictly VC
      SecurityBoulevard as sponsor of TLDR
Crowdstrike as sponsor of the Hustle
ProPrivacy as sponsor of Dense Discovery
ExpressVPN as sponsor of Tim Ferris
      ipdata as sponsor of Hackernewsletter

I would also check the Software dataset as there are always also company in that your niche.

Hope it helps! Let me know what you think.

        Thanks @toomaime!

I think I see a pattern here, all of these sponsors are large and all of these newsletters have far more subscribers than I do. My current stats are:

        Free subscribers: 166
        Pro subscribers: 13
        Total subscribers: 179
        Avg. open/click rate: 39.6% / 13.2%

Considering that I'm writing specifically about products, I'm not sure if having a product company sponsor an issue would allow me to be unbiased. That aside, it does give me some interesting ideas.

A question back to you - do you have an idea on how to approach potential sponsorship opportunities? When you're not very big, companies aren't approaching you to sponsor just yet.

    Hi Toomaime:
my newsletter is called The Space Roundup ( https://spaceroundup.substack.com/ ) and it's a weekly summary of all awesome things that are happening in the space and human spaceflight arena. I'd love to see what you can think about in terms of sponsors as I'd like to start exploring ways to monetize it.
    Cheers! :)

      Hey Fandez,
that is by far the most interesting niche so far I heard of! Let me try it with some ideas:

So I took a look at Technology sponsors

Electric as sponsor of the Morning Brew
HelloSun as sponsor of Tailwind Weekly
Openphone as sponsor of the Not Boring newsletter

      Travel Sponsors

Away as sponsor of the Scott's Cheap Flights
Dollar Fight Club as sponsor of The Report

      Smart Home

SimpliSafe as sponsor of the GIST

Maybe also a short worth to go for cloud services like
Digital Ocean as sponsor of a lot of tech newsletters

You might also check other possibilities: I put some datasets together here: https://sponsorgap.com/find-sponsors

Let me know if something works out for you!

Cool! I know it can be a hard niche, but I'll try anyways. I'll let you know if anything comes out from reaching them out. Any advice about how to do it, by the way?
        Cheers!

For sure one of the hardest part - first try to get the right contact, put together important stats, metrics etc. for your newsletter (e.g. like that https://www.densediscovery.com/advertise/) Then try to write a good "cold email".

Oh, great @toomaime - I'll do that and have you posted
            Cheers!
