Native desktop app for connecting remote workers

I work remote 100% of the time and wanted to connect with others who are doing the same. It is a simple interface showing who is working right now and what they're working on, anywhere on the globe. So I created a native Mac and Windows app for connecting remote workers called Ensession - https://ensession.com
Looking for ideas or suggestions on what would motivate you, or a hypothetical user from downloading and trying it?
Considering implementing a matched communication system where one user can indicate they would like to chat and a second user would reciprocate. in the next version. What do you think?
I like the idea but why you're building a desktop app and not a web app because the web app is much easier to acquire new users?
Appreciate the feedback! So I spent a lot of time considering web app vs desktop app. Web app would be much easier to dev and lower the barrier the entry for new users. A native app can limit the users to professionals and not casual WWW users and related spam. So tradeoffs for both, approach native for now but always willing to pivot to WWW if necessary.

This looks great. About to be 100% remote in 3 weeks myself.
But back up, this is for remote workers to interact? Is there no “team” functionality where you only see coworkers? You have a global view at all times?
I’m fairly social in-office but tend to get sucked into work non stop when I do work from home. If I had a way to signal I’m willing to pair up and work on a problem that’d be great! Or even just chat over a coffee to take a break.
Really this would be a replacement for the “water cooler”. You could see who in your company is in the same wfh situation but potentially network with people you don’t normally see.
Excellent feedback, the water cooler analogy is interesting. Right, this tool is not built for teams to interact but for individuals to see what each other is working on regardless of team. Thanks!
I would suggest you to check out https://simpleboard.io, the vision is a bit similar but we offered a realtime dashboard instead of a map and you can check what your coworkers are working on, manage projects locations .. all in realtime here is a post on IH : https://www.indiehackers.com/post/next-steps-after-launching-simpleboard-io-6cb579589e
