Hi guys Im Dejon.

I'm the 20-year-old founder of Trend Watchers. Early 2020, I wanted to turn my idea for Trend Watchers into a reality. I had over 100 beta testers, good testimonials of them getting results + proof of concept. The only thing I needed was a platform to scale this thing.

So, I took my idea & pitched it to over 50 investors. They all said no.

When I approached the last one, he told me that no one was going to invest in a 19-year-old with no previous startup experience. My best bet was to ask family and friends or go all in myself.

So I chose option 2, funding it myself.

When I sent my idea over to a few development firms, I was quoted $25,000 - $50,000 to turn my idea into a reality.

I only had $5,000 at the time so this clearly wasn't an option.

My last and only option was to bootstrap the software myself.

Long story short, I was able to bootstrap my idea into a custom SaaS for less than $1,000 then spent another $3,000 updating it throughout the months. My SaaS now has over 4,000 members.

I am a marketing guy. Tech isn't my thing so I had to learn how to.

• Create wireframes
• Hire a developer in the top 1% outside the US
• Leverage consulting with experts online to solve my technical problems.
• Mastering communication to reduce development costs

It would have been nice to have a step-by-step guide on how to bootstrap your idea in a custom app/SaaS for less than $5,000. (as a non-technical person)

I just spoke to a guy who blew $57,000 on an app idea that flopped. I asked him if I could take a look at it and told him he could have had that built for $3,000 and spent the rest on marketing to actually make it work.

That guy inspired me to start sharing the knowledge I know about bootstrapping.
