Need Advice: Idea For Reddit (r/conspiracy)
So I’m not much of a Reddit user myself, but I do get sucked into the conspiracy sub from time to time.
I’ve noticed a problem which arises quite frequently on the sub - there’s too much NOISE. Some people make crazy claims without sources. Some people complain about bots and Tencents new role in Reddit. Then, there’s some who break through and make great sense with reliable sources to back it up.
My idea: create a conspiracy platform, newsletter, or both which compiles the best posts and comments from Reddit.
Question: Can you make a tool to filter through Reddit data?
Reddit has an API that you could use. Personally I don't trust anything I read on Reddit but would still probably sign up for your newsletter just for the entertainment value.
Please don't... conspiracy theories are too mainstream as it is already. Plus if you've been in the community very long you'll realize that theorists don't trust anything that gets big. You'd be eviscerated by your own community at best and at worst become another part of the noise. I'm not saying you couldn't but should you?
