Need advice on whether to go with design A or B for comments on Kampsite

Hey Guys!

About to launch my product https://kampsite.co on product in a couple of days and am getting the pre-launch jitters. I think my current design for comments really isn't quite that good and could be improved. I'm not looking at making any changes functionality wise, just style wise so it should be relatively quick, but just wanted to get all your feedback on which design you think is best.

V1: What's currently deployed: https://feedback.kampsite.co/suggestions/669cd9ff-aee8-4f73-9bde-01394850573c

V2: Something I just quickly mocked up in figam (so ignore spacing and missing fields/buttons but you get the idea): https://imgur.com/7tY8Uh3

I think the V2 looks a lot cleaner and makes the page look at lot less blocky.

Keen to hear your opionions though! Thanks in advance :)

Personally, I like V1 better. The separation makes it easier to read, in my opinion. But anyway I think they're both look good.
One other thing you should consider - putting the "Add your comment" input before the comments, and not on bottom. You want to get as many comments as possible, and putting it on bottom would hide it for most of the users, that don't scroll down to the very end of the comments section.

Great idea, I’ll rearrange that one ASAP!

I'm going with V2, but you have to adjust the contrast to make the "action" or "actions" required by the user more clear. Light gray on white is a no-no.

@sodux Thanks for the feedback! Although you've thrown a spanner in the works, I was V2 as well but everyone else thought v1. If you don't mind me asking - why do you think V2 is better?

Actually if you also have a sec - which version of these do you think would look better. I am giving customers the choice to choose between no white background and a white background for the logo https://imgur.com/a/ginLric

The first one with no white background. That logo does not require additional "boxing" with its rounded edge design and additional elements that "float" on the page.

The reason I like version 2, once you work on the contrast and CTA (call to action) elements a bit. It will be the better of the 2 versions flow wise since it's not so bulky. Right now, version 1 is winning because the contrast and CTA is much more apparent. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Go with V1 is my vote :)

I personally like V1 more. It looks different and reminds me of a chat conversation.
V2 is also nice but it looks more conventional.
