There is $40B in tied up security deposits and for most renters, keeping 2x-3x rent on hand to pay for security deposits, plus rent and moving costs is an unnecessary pain. Many startups are succeeding in this space by offering an alternative to upfront deposits (insurance alternatives, pay over time plans) and we're exploring ways to break-through with a unique product of our own.
