[Need Feedback] A platform where anybody can borrow the book they want from someone local (nearby).
The goal is to make books available to read for free.
You register, add your books in your inventory. Your profile contains your wider geolocation like Queens, New York, your contact information (phone number or any social media), and at some point even an inbuilt chat.
Home page is Search. You can search for books and it’ll show everyone sorted by their location relative to you. You can then contact them on Whatsapp or inbuilt chat.
It’s not just an app, it’s full of a lot of challenges, including
- logistics of books delivery and who’d pay for delivery, borrower or lender (because we want to make reading books to be free)
- how to make money if the goal is to make it free
- how to make sure the borrower doesn’t mess up the borrowed book. People hesitate in lending their books to other people for a weekend because of this.
Any feedback or idea is very appreciated. Even things like it's a dumb idea xD.
I was thinking of something like this, but there is already something simular where you trade books. It is called Libro, haven't tested it yet. Maybe it can be done better/different?
