Hi, indie hackers

I need feedback on my website https://servelogy.com.

No one is converting as of now.

I will be grateful for any feedback.

Hey! Been a UX designer for 8 years now just to give some context on where I’m coming from. I won’t go too into depth but happy to answer follow up questions if you need.

    1. First impression is everything. If you are selling a product development service your website should showcase that you capable of providing top quality services.

    2. Your spacing, sizes, colors, fonts and button sizes are all over the place. It’s going to be tough to convert customers when your home page doesn’t show that your quality if there.

    3. Way too much copy for a home page. Just briefly touch on what you offer, let your work shine or go into more depth on deeper pages.

    4. Highlight your work on you homepage. Rather than having them hunt for it.

Hope that help! With some tweaks to the follow it should help to drive up conversion.

Ps don’t put a whole sentence in the CTA button on your hero. Keep it short.

Hey overall not bad! I am the owner of wildepixels and we do a ton of website design and graphic design.

    • Play with your hero image and layout a little bit. This is where you will fist grab the attention of your ideal clients. The images isn't reflecting on what you do/offer.
    • We serve the best... not sure if that is the best tagline it might scare some people off .
    • We also are graphic designers so instead of "S" as your main logo. Maybe try to combine the "S" and "L" into something fun and cool! Just to make your brand pop and little more.
    • The huge Photo of yourself as the founder. I would honestly remove that section altogether as it's not relevant to what you are offering.
    • For your portfolio this is where you need to really stand out. It gives a very bland look.
    • Maybe showing some before and after for website development
    • SEO it would be amazing to see stats you improved your clients SEO ranking...
    • Also we need to see what makes you different than other companies similar to you? Why should we come to you?

Wish you the best, and if you make any changes would love to take a look! You got this 💪

    Hi!
It's a very nice website. I am a big fan of minimalism and clean design and I like the way your website looks. However there are still things that need more attention:

    1. I don't see the need for those borders around the services presentation.
    2. Why is almost all the div for a service clickable? I clicked on it and it redirects me to the top of the screen. Since you have a Learn More button I don't see the need of making that div clickable
    3. Some of your divs have problem with the margins and paddings. There are some photos missing the left padding at all from the border, making the website look patchy.

Again, these are small design problems that can be easly fixed. Other than that really nice website, good job!

Also I ran a Lighthouse report on your website and the performance is pretty bad, only 64, these are some suggestion from lighthouse that may increase the performance of the website:

    Eliminate render-blocking resources
    Reduce unused JavaScript
    Properly size images
    Reduce unused CSS

    Good luck!

    Hello Toshit,

You've made a good start on your website, but there are opportunities to enhance the user experience. Right now, the sections feel disjointed as they simply stack vertically down the page. Reorganizing the content into cohesive sections based on the topic would create an improved flow for visitors.

In terms of design, the minimalist white background is clean but feels stark. Introducing some color, interesting textures, visuals, and thoughtful use of whitespace would make the interface feel more engaging.

The typography could also be elevated. Choosing some more distinctive, professional fonts would make the copy much more readable.

If you don't have design experience, one option could be to use a pre-made template. Many provide beautiful designs optimized for usability. This can save time while still allowing you to customize it with your own content.

    Hey,

You’ve asked for feedback on the website so everyone is giving you feedback on your website.

But the issue is that you’re not converting visitors into paying customers.

And this is likely little to do with your website.

I’ve seen a lot worse websites convert visitors into paying customers.

The people willing to buy your services are out there. You’ve just got to find them (and convince them to buy from you and not your competitors).

The problem you’re having is that you aren’t able to do that very well.

There’s lots of different strategies to overcome this problem but you can learn about the one that I recommend on my website right here - www.thebluntmethod.com

    Best

    Chris

Disclaimer: I am not a designer, so take my feedback with this in mind.

Overall, I think the website needs a lot of work. The design requires more effort to look good, and even basic things like centering and aligning text/items where they should be, are missing.

The messaging doesn't capture my interest because it doesn't tell me right away what you do better than others or anyway why I should take your services into consideration.

The big squared image in the hero doesn't seem related in any way to what you are offering, so I question its presence. Maybe you could add some image as background to the hero rather than a big squared image in the middle.

The "Check out all our services" button is not really needed since it just scrolls down a bit.

The huge foto with yourself as the founder? I would honestly remove that section altogether as it's not relevant to what you are offering.

Some of the links to the websites in your portfolio don't link to anything.

The website itself is not really optimised from a SEO standpoint, so seeing SEO as your top service in the list is weird...

I think you need to spend more time on the website overall if you are looking for people to contact you/be interested in your services.

I have been to the site and noticed several things should be fixed. So you may look at these.

#1 design is simple and clean, but it lacks to highlight your value proposition and call-to-action buttons.

#2 contents are informative and concise, but you could use some testimonials or case studies to showcase your previous work and client satisfaction.

*Let's connect with LinkedIn and discuss some opportunities together!

    I examined your site, here are the things I think could be better if organized;

It would be more logical to move the WhatsApp button on the left side to the right, and if you don't necessarily need to communicate via WhatsApp, I recommend tools like tawk.to, they will be better.

The items in the "Services We Offer" section should be centered on mobile, I think it looks better that way.

It would also make more sense to remove the contact button on the top right, both that and WhatsApp are too much. As I said above, you can only have a main contact tool at the bottom right and link the contact form to the drop-down menu.

    Good your work.

It was better that way. God bless your hands.

        1. 1

Do you mean the website was better earlier?

          1. 1

No, I said this is better than before. 😂

            1. 1

😂 sorry I was confused because of the wording, can you please give feedback on if there is still something which we can improve?

              1. 1

I think it's in good enough shape to sell right now. After that, users who use the site will give you the most accurate feedback.

AI Web App Generator caught my attention, but it requires significant improvements to enhance user-friendliness. Additionally, I am hesitant to provide my OpenAI key to an unfamiliar website.

    1. 1

Yes, its just a MVP right now, we working on it.

  11. 1

Why do I need an app if I have a mobile friendly website? Justify

    1. 1

To get more reach by being available on the Play Store and AppStore, also being able to send push notifications.

  12. 1

To be perfectly frank, the web design and copywriting are pretty bad. I'd either dramatically improve those aspects by hiring someone to handle that for me, or play to my strengths by removing design elements and opting for an ultra-minimalistic/technical-looking page that emphasizes my back-end development skills.

Sometimes minimalistic pages can generate leads surprisingly well, as they imply that there's more "behind the curtain" that sparks interest vs a more comprehensive page that grants potential leads more reasons to skip you over. This is why execution is SO important. A poorly-executed advertisement of a legit selling point can easily become a deterrent.

For example, this is my freelance service site: https://resen.co, which gets a lead or three every month, even though there's basically nothing there.

Hi, thank you for the feedback, I guess you are right we will need to hire someone.

I'm writing this as I browse it on a desktop, using chrome at 1920x1080:

-The image on the hero section doesn't relate to what your site does, it's just an image.
-The heading and paragraph on the hero section doesn't give me your elevator pitch, what does your site do?
I would rather just have this:

    "Unlock Your Online Potential"
"SEO solutions, web development, and web apps are tailored to your unique needs"

..If I want to know more, I'll read further.

"We provide 100% satisfaction or refund."
-Makes me feel like you're already ready to refund me, this doesn't give me much faith in the products

Under services the SEO service has way too much text, hide this behind a "read more" option, with just the basics on the landing page.

Alignment is off on "our founder" and the text below your image.

There's a strange hover and black border effect on the features sections.

    Blogs page looks nice.

Thank you for the feedback, we will fix all of these issues.

Took a look on mobile. That looks waayyyy better!

            1. 1

What are the issues on the desktop version?

              1. 1

Howdy. Yeah, that looks good on the desktop.

In our services section, I would try and make the images more uniform, they look a little mismatched...

Try to match the height of all the cards under "latest blog" on the landing page. The one is shorter than the rest.

The massive WhatsApp icon in the bottom corner feels a little off... maybe see if you can do something else with it. Obviously, you want it there so that it's close at hand, but I would rather have it on a sticky header bar, that seems to be more the convention. Same as what I did on the landing page of Flowlastic.com

Hope this helps, but it's way better than the first iteration, well done!

Some quick thoughts (I viewed on mobile):

    • Like others have mentioned, the landing page doesn’t tell me much about what Servology is and why I should trust you. The hero is also quite vague.

    • The layout on mobile is a little messy, which makes me - as a potential customer - feel like I can’t trust the site and definitely shouldn’t enter any sensitive info (e.g. card details) on there.

    • The imagery used feels like a mixture of clipart and AI-generations, it doesn’t feel cohesive. Again, makes me feel like this might not be a genuine site.

    My recommendations:

    • Be incredibly clear about what you’re offering in your hero. Include social proof in your hero.

    • Share examples of previous work and the outcomes from it (e.g. improving a client’s SEO).

    • Reduce visual clutter on the page (overlapping transparent elements, oversized CTAs which span multiple lines etc.)

    • Try to make imagery more consistent, if you’re going to use AI generated images, use them everywhere.

    • Describe the services you offer rather than just the headline of the name of the product.

Happy to review again if you’d like me to look at an updated version. All the best with your project!

    1. 1

Thank you for the great feedback, we tried to fix all of these issues, if you don't mind please have a look again and let me know what do you think.

  15. 1

Ok, bear in mind I did a whistle stop tour of your website, which is probably the same as other people.

I don't understand what you're offering? There's a lot of services on your homepage and no descriptions or examples of what they are. For DescriptionAI, you want me to enter my app details to see what it can do? How about you show me some example instead?

Your site isn't the most appealing, the AI Web App Generator looks like it was thrown together as someone's first project and you're offering to build other people a website? There's very little content and examples on your site - I want to see a portfolio of things you've built.

    1. 1

Thank you for the great feedback, we fixed all of this, there is button in header for portfolio, if you don’t mind please have look again and let us know what do you think.

  16. 1

Lots of people might not be using Whatsapp, so instead of redirecting users to a Whatsapp chat widget, why not try using a chatbot? You can consider Infichat here.

In the hero section, keep the hero text left-aligned and the image on the right side. Have a small description for each service as well.
