I have created a web app called https://hakrlog.com . It's a blogging platform for developers. Where they can write in Markdown. You will get your own subdomain and the platform is free of ads, no hassle to set up. We have a standard Jekyll type layout for posts. People can comment on your posts and follow you for weekly digests containing posts from programmers they follow.
I would love to work on feedback from you before a launch on HN. Any critics are welcome.

Hi! Your website looks slattern. I'm not native English speaker but found several ugly typos, for example "deoveloper". Typography is broken too - the dot's have to be separated by space with next word.
When I see such obvious errors on website - I didn't trust it, and that's why will not signup. I recommend you to fix the errors and resubmit your website to IH.

I would fix the typo and the grammar. It looks too amateurish, even if it is, you want it to look a bit more professional.
Why would I use this instead of github.io? I wouldn't have to receive emails, and it is based on Jekyll too.

Github pages are great.
Native comments on your posts (No Disqus and it's million requests), You get to follow your favorite bloggers on this site and those emails will be more customizable in future. Of course, these things will matter only when the user base becomes large enough. You can write and edit Markdown posts in a nice web interface.
