Hi Indiehackers... Last week we launched our new subscription management portal for Stripe, and many of you mentioned that our current model is not good for companies who have low average revenue per account (ARPU). Here is the current pricing page: https://servicebot.io/pricing
We are thinking of updating it to the following pricing:
$25/mo + 0.6% of MRR
What do you think? I would love your honest opinion.
A percentage of the revenue sounds like a good idea. Do you already enough clients to see if the %0.6 is sustainable for you? Else I would keep running with current pricing until you have enough data.
The $25/mo + 0.6% plan is a lot more flexible compared to the pricing you already have on your website. $25 and a free plan is a very low barrier to entry. Will it be enough to sustain your business?
Yes, we think we can sustain it. Still doing some more research but seems like most of our customers are interested.
Being candid I would just use a package for Django at that price.
You're already fighting developers who love to build their own stuff.
If you could do $0 + 3% of MRR or $10 + 1.5% something like that.
That is really helpful! And until what revenue gate do you think you’d be willing to give out 3%?
About $1500 MRR that will be $45. If you have the cap of 50 paying customers. Then no matter how low the MRR they will have to swap tiers. Which sounds fair for both sides
