Need feedback on SaaS MVP
Dear fellow hackers, 🙂
I got to the MVP phase of my first SaaS, and I need a little bit of guidance and candid feedback.
It’s FeedSubscription.com, an RSS to email service for bloggers, and now I’m at the point where I begin to feel anxious about product-market fit, and, to alleviate it, I’m looking for feedback from real humans, potential users.
I’m expecting that the feedback would guide me toward the next step, even if that step is “throw this thing away.” 🙃 In particular, I’d be interested these things, in order:
- value of the service;
- UX pains in the fundamental use-cases;
- anything missing that seems valuable in the context.
One last thing on the list above is that the payment system is coming up, so don’t worry about it for now.
So, I’d greatly appreciate if anyone would be willing to register an account, and play with it a bit. I’m very interested in any feedback, not only words of encouragement. 🙂

Congrats on your MVP. At least you got something out there to collect feedback.
I am not yet at the point myself where I could use this type of service, but I am guessing it 'might' have value for me in the future. I am creating an MVP myself and creating blog posts to attract subscribers. So yes, I want to be able to put them on my mailing list and send them updates when new blog posts are available.
However, I would have reservations about using your service because:

PS. I like very much that you offered a RSS-checking tool. I tried it on my site and it gave a success message. However it listed localhost:4000 as feed, which is clearly NOT correct. So, the tool gave a wrong evaluation, but still it helped me. Maybe you can correct that?

I understand the reservations you have expressed, and I think they are valid. My intention is to offer a simpler solution for those that don’t want the complexity that comes with the more mature services that you mentioned.
