Need Feedback - what domain should I use?

Hey Indie Hackers!

Hope you're all doing safe! Would appreciate some feedback - I'm working on starting a tech blog where I aim to share content focused on programming / product management / career in tech etc. My current domain name options are:

  1. mukulraina [.] com
  2. techwithmukul [.] com
  3. mukul [.] io

Pros n Cons of each IMO:

  1. mukulraina [.] com

    • My full name is long and not intuitive
    • I have most of the social media handles (e.g. twitter/insta but not FB)
  2. techwithmukul [.] com

    • Kinda gives an idea in the domain name itself what the website is about
    • easier to read than "mukulraina.com"
    • social media handles easily available
  3. mukul [.] io

    • short and simple
    • .io domain / seo issues

Which one should I go with?

Thanks a ton!

Hey, my thought is to go with #1

People will come to the site (or search for it) after seeing your full name in an article credit or social handle. Also it's handy to be able tell people in person that your URL is just your name

Just my 2 cents ... sincerely, the guy who went with briandavidhall.com 😁

I have done quite a research when I wanted to choose the domain of my product since it was hard to find something memorable without exploring less known domains.

There was a blog post from an agency that switched from .com to .rocks; they did not lose traffic or have SEO issues as I thought they'd have. Here is the full post: https://insights.huemor.rocks/blog/how-huemor-switched-from-com-to-rocks

    I ended up choosing https://mon.rocks

Apart from the availability (and cheap price), it is a cool domain to have! So I suggest you go with the .io one since it is about tech.
