Hi everyone,
I recently quit my job as head of engineering in a B2B startup, to pursue my own idea.
I started with a shopify app idea which did not get good amount of interest from the store owners. To move forward, I'm trying to find another niche problem to solve and could really use some help with this.
The process I'm currently taking:
I have not been able to find sufficient takers for my call request, and I'm a little lost on how else I can go about finding other niche problems.
Could you help with some advice on how I can go about finding niche problems (shopify or otherwise)?
Is there any structured approach that you have which could help me go about this process?
Thanks in advance.
Sign up and use the platform as a store owner would. Try to setup a store, add products and try to connect to social media. You will find problems. Those problems will be shared by others. Determine if those problems can be fixed and if people are willing to pay for it.
Some thoughts:
@adithyak If you're looking for an opportunity to address a niche problem, we've found one, validated, acquired 2 pre-paid customers and our goal is to reach 10-20.
We have a spot open on the team as an equity partner.
Let me know.
Omar

Thanks a lot for your reply. That's a good point - I'll try doing this in my next iteration.
Have you done this before / has sending survey questions worked better for you?
