I am building a consulting side project where I provide customers with in-depth and detailed conversion rate optimization audits and recommendations. I need tips on how to organize this site (should I just have it be a small site that leads to a purchase form) or provide lots of supplementary info about CRO, UX/UI, etc. as well as the purchase form page?
Just having trouble getting started and wondering if anyone else out there has started a marketing or design consulting site before and has any tips on success for me?
Much appreciated!
What do you have in terms of social capital to demonstrate your creds? Whitepapers and case studies can be invaluable.
That is a great point. One problem I am running into is that my reports I generate are highly personal and unique to each client, so I am trying to find a way to display examples of my work without revealing too much info about my clients. Any thoughts?
Segment by type, i.e. e-commerce, marketing, saas and give generic tips with $$$ increase for each action taken. Possibly offer free 25 min CRO analysis on YouTube
Some clients, especially those with whom you've done good work, will be amenable to using their story directly in a white-paper context. You could also publish metrics, in detail or aggregate, without naming your clients. It also never hurts to ask for a publishable one-line testimonial about how your services improved their business.
