Need ideas on how to get first users

Hi, everyone,

tldr; need first users for a browser code environment, who are the best candidates for this?

To provide some context, I am a software engineer and often have many challenges while in focus time writing code or implementing a feature. The challenges can be related to infrastructure, domain knowledge, context switch, distractions, and meta work on sorting out tasks and have contextual data before implementing, testing, and deploying things.

That being sad, I am exploring an idea of cloud coding environments with focus on improving productivity. I currently bootstrapped a browser vscode (using code-server) where one can potentially write code and compile, but my future work will be more about improve contextual experiences beyond the IDE (e2e ecosystem and bottlenecks within).

To proceed with my exploration, I need to find a little group of people (5+) that would find a basic online coding environment to be useful for them (for example, folks that need special infra like GPU, online classes, or small startup that would benefit from browser vscode).

Goal of this post. I want to get ideas about finding such group and focus my effort on tuning infrastructure towards them.

Examples

  • Research groups in schools that need special infra (GPU)
  • Coding schools that need collaborative coding environments with some reusable components
  • Startup looking to improve onboarding experience to eliminate "works on my machine" problem

I think you can ask around in reddit, there's some coding related subreddits there. I'm sure you can find some people there.

Do you mind sharing which coding related subreddit?

You can type in search bar any programming language, for me i follow subreddit like javascript, react, reactnative, learnprogramming (forgot the exact name), webdevelopment(forgot the exact name). There's a lot more. Sorry for the late reply
