Recently we introduced a new feature for our RatePunk extension (we compare the hotel or room booking you're looking at with all the other booking websites and show you the best deal) - Airbnb price negotiation.
If you didn't know, booking prices on Airbnb can be negotiated with the host. We made that even more accessible and easy by eliminating the need to directly craft a message and just let the user type in the price that suits, which then gets sent to the host where the host can either accept or deny it.
We love this feature. It has never been done before, and it's another way to save money while traveling quite easily.
What if I told you we're gonna make it even cooler?
Right now, we're working on integrating chatGPT into the Airbnb negotiation feature for it to directly negotiate with the host on the user's behalf."
I would love to hear all of IndieHacker's thoughts on this, the negatives, the positives, the "this sucks," and the "this is such a cool idea."
Where else could this work? How about an extension that negotiates prices on things like Facebook marketplace or clothing reselling sites, for example?
Feel free to brainstorm in the comments.
