New blog facing traffic challenges - SEO tips needed

Hi Fellows!

I just made a tech career guidance blog over here:

Though the market has competition, it could always grow I believed.

Got few viral posts through social media that were highs of its life.
All in all, 6 months and I struggle to fetch organic traffic.

I have been using Yoast free version and suspect that it's lately proving ineffective. I came to know about famous SEO tools but don't really have any intention of trying paid solution, knowing successful blogs who grew organically. I try basic keyword research techniques using google tools without much success.

Any tips are welcome...thank you for your time...
