Hi Indie Hackers!
I'm new in town, so this post is just a quick personal presentation and a story of my journey and what brought me here.
I'm Ariel, from Rome, Italy, and since I started working in 2015 I've always worked in the startup ecosystem.
In 2015, in my first year at University, I started working in a food delivery startup (I was one of the first riders for the company), just some months before the hype (mostly from VCs) for the sector started declining. I held on for 3 years, during which I did everything for the company: from customer care to operations, from finance to marketing.
I loved everything about working there: crunching numbers, brainstorming about further development of the product, elaborating strategies, and talking with investors. Most of all, this experience helped me to understand what I (was supposed to) would like to do in my life: fund companies and help them scale to become the tech pillars of the world.
So, after 3 years, I drop out of the company and I started working in a VC, just in time to understand that I couldn't help founders the time they deserved. Day by day, I felt that my real will is to build something, not to help in a very limited way building something that was built by someone else.
Thus, my first and main goal for 2022 is to start building something, hoping to let this may become my future. And build it in public, documenting success and failures!
It won't be easy, not having a tech background, but one of my goals for 2022 is to start learning code to better understand what I'm going to do.
But before starting, I would like to thank @andreboso, that helped me to access this amazing place.
Wish me good luck, I think I will need it.
