New landing for OneBar.io

Hey, IH!
We've been (slowly) working on a new landing for the last two month, and it finally feels ready.
I've asked for midterm feedback multiple times here and got some useful suggestions.
I've also read the book that @joshtronic suggested (Building a Story Brand) and tried using some techniques from there. I can say it closely follows the book philosophy, but some ideas helped :)

Anyway, what do you think about what we have now?

I have to say it is really cool idea. Few questions:

    1. Do you read all my private messages and make them searchable?
    2. How's it different from just searching in slack?
    1. 2

      Thanks, @the_engineerit!

We actually don't make EVERYTHING on Slack searchable. We rather let you manually pick what has value, send it to OneBar, and then search. Hence, the answers to your questions:

      1. We don't search your DMs, but we allow you to search OneBar in DMs
      2. Slack search gives you everything everywhere => what you get is mostly noise. Also, Slack search is mostly keyword-based, while we can do real NLP, mainly because we store information in a more structured way.

        Very nice, got it. thanks.

Is there a reason you chose to frame your benefits in terms of negatives? This seems to go against everything that works, in my experience.

      Hi, @sobbuh
      Thanks for asking!
Basically, those are not directly benefits of our product, but rather points "why you should care about knowledge management at all"
The marketing book tells us that we should add some "contrast" or "depth" to the story by telling the customer what all will go wrong if they don't use our product. So, that section is our attempt to do that :)

I don't know what that book says, and I've never seen this work -- my mind is wired to see benefits.

I purchase a lot of SAAS -- and I want to know why I need this software and how it's going to improve my life/work/organization.

Seeing you list out the negatives is confusing and odd to me, and doesn't sell me on the product.

I have seen negative questions used --

"Are you suffering from employee churn?" -- this gets the viewer to say "yes" and agree with you, and continue forward in the funnel.

Listing it out like this as negatives seems like it would kill your conversions. I would definitely A/B test this if you have enough visitors

Got it. I'll try to think about how we can re-phrase those but still keep them to be "problems" and not "solutions", because solutions are below.

          Thanks!

@maxim_leonovich first, I'd like to say I love the concept. Will there be a way to easily manage information stored in OneBar such as removing an old answer or updating an outdated or inaccurate one such as "weekly meetings are every Tuesday at 10am" no longer "every Wednesday at 10am"?

      Hey, @tholloday, thanks!
Yeah, definitely, you can edit, cross-link, comment and do other stuff in the web UI. It's pretty much a full-fledged wiki :)

    Hey Maxim.

Nice design. It took a while for me to understand how it works. Have you considered adding a GIF or animation of users interacting with the tool?

    1. 1

      Thanks, @dru_riley!
Yeah, we've moved away from GIF, because they're sometimes hard to watch (e.g. when they start from the middle and you have to wait for it to finish first).
We have a product video though, which we'll soon link somewhere to the top part of the page.

        That makes sense
