New Landing page feedback

Hello there,
I was wondering if you could give me an honest feedback on this new landing page I've made RigelApp.com.

  • Is the copy easy to understand?
  • How would you improve it?
  • Is the design "good-looking"?

Any feedback is appreciated 😄
Thanks

    3 main suggestions.

    1. I can't view the whole page
I have a problem with the page. Both in Safari and Chrome a segment of the phone and of the text is not visibile.
On mobile I view the whole text but not he button, the page doesn't scroll down.
Maybe it's due to my settings, but I don't have problems with other websites.

    2. What's the problem?
What problem do you solve for the subscribers? I don't understand it.
The best way to highlight this crucial factor is with a question headline. Something like "Do you have this problem?"
After that the whole copywriting process become easier.

    3. "New things"?
This is connected to the previous point. The title is what one reads first. Better to talk about something specific. That way you give the reader a reason to go to the next line.

    Does it help?

    Hey !
Just to let you know, it seems like the website doesn't appear as it should on my 14 inch laptop.
There's 2 scrollbars on the side, and I can't see the two buttons on the bottom.
    Here's what it looks like : https://ibb.co/XxP9V9X

Anyway, in my opinion, maybe "discover things" sounds too generic ? I didn't know first what the product was about...
Also, having a black on black mobile screen doesn't help your app stand out...

Hope my feedback will be useful !
    Wish you the best!

Ouch, guess I'll have to tweak the code a bit more. Thanks for the feedback! 🙏

From the landing page (viewed on mobile) I had no idea what this app was about. I don't know what cultural articles are or what you might be validating or "provisioning."

Clicking on the link to Google Play, the screenshots made me think the app was in fact just another news aggregator.

Then I read the app description and I finally understood what the app was about. As someone who enjoys history and culture and the arts, I think its a smart idea to have a source for different kinds of news!

So for the landing page, I would recommend:

    • Replacing the phrase "cultural articles" with something more descriptive that includes keywords like history, art, and science
    • Removing anything about validating and provisioning
    • Adding some of what you have in the app store description to the site, but don't include the words "Our value proposition"
    • The word "renown" should be "renowned" for how you're using it.
    • Add screenshots of the app
    • The gray on black text is pretty hard to read. Might be better off with a light theme more like you're app.

    Best of luck,
    Elena

Hi Elena, thanks for the detailed feedback. I think it's a bug the image is not displayed on mobile, I'll look into it.
I totally see your point and agree with what you say!

      Thanks again

My first question was "what's a cultural article"?

After some further investigation, it seems like I can create channels. So I guess that means I could almost make a channel for myself - maybe something like what The History Channel was before it started airing nothing but "pawn stars" and "ancient aliens". :-P

The screenshot helped me figure it out. Maybe you could add a couple to show different examples of different sorts of channels a user could create.

    The design looks nice.

      Thanks for the feedback!
How would say it rather thank "cultural article"?
The meaning is "content that's about culture, being it in Art, Science, History, Cinema etc". I couldn't come up with a better mix of words 😅

I think it's a good choice, it just took me a few seconds to figure out :-)

    Looks good - clean.

I would look at reworking the header, and eliminate "Things" and "Rigel"

I don't know enough about the product, but try to speak to the problem you're solving.

By using "Rigel" in the header you're making It about yourself, it should be all about the user in your header.

Having Rigel in the copy below is enough.

    Cheers,
    Jordan

I agree with what you say, I didn't think about it.
