IndieHacker friends,
I've been able to show and explain ContactLink in person and people "get it". But on our website? People are so confused...
After an intense couple of weeks on our new landing page, I think we might have cracked the code.
If you have a minute or two to do me a huge favor, have a look at https://ContactLink.com
and see if you understand what the product does and who it's for. Can you quickly who would use this product, and why?
Please roast the page and let me know anything that's confusing and unclear, because up to now, it's all been super clear to my team and I.... and super confusing to anyone who visited our site.
I'd switch out the video with a link to the actual product like you're currently doing with "Instant demo". That's where you can try it and know if it's for you. The signup process is so easy that I don't think you'd need to show that up front. I'd maybe give it a different label too, like "Try it", instead of calling it a demo.
Also, the tooltips on the product page are kind of annoying and don't tell me much. If you label the buttons with "video" and "schedule", then why tell me again in a tooltip what that is?
In short, I think you're maybe too worried people are not getting it, but the product is already super simple.
Anyway, I'd listen to your users more than to me.
Wow - thanks! I appreciate your advice here. These are good suggestions. I will get those tooltips going ASAP. Thanks!
