I am taking my existing tips newsletter - FixMyGrowth.com and testing it in a new vertical. The current target audience (Indie Hackers, Makers) is completely different than the new one (Fitness instructors) BUT both audiences have the same need – customer acquisition and growth. The content in the new vertical will be similar with a few minor tweaks that speak to the new audience.
I need to test the new fitness vertical. Would you create a new landing page off the current domain (i.e. /fitness) or do a substack or quick single-page website like Carrd (I have a unique domain for this vertical)? Please explain your thoughts.
Thanks in advance!
It's the same concept for different niches so it should use the same brand and be on the same domain.
You would be diluting the brand by using various domains. The whole point of landing pages and subdomains is to cater for different niches and customer segments.
Even the biggest businesses with huge resources use subdomains and try to have just one website. It does not make sense for a small business to have many websites for the same concept.
Managing one website is hard enough.
Thanks for the advice!
