New landing page. Thoughts?

You got some feedback about the idea. Which you might want to check out. Why hasn't this worked to this day?

My initial thought was different though.
I thought this is a great idea.
I thought I wanted to do that.

BUT

I think you want a little more excitement in your storytelling.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the main idea is that the online world sucks and the real world is much richer.

That we forget how to meet friends.
How to make friends
How to meet girls
Etc.

You need people to understand that line of thinking (or be reminded that their life sucks) and then ask themselves - ok, what do you got to offer?

I'd suggest to add an obvious call-to-action button encouraging visitors to download the app or sign up in the hero section.

And since it's a new idea you need to explain your users, it would be nice to include a short video or animation visualizing how the app works

I see the vibe you're going for. Something like the National Geographic design language, and I love it.

The biggest thing that stands out to me is there's a lot of text and no CTA button on the hero section. If you know your customers well enough and they would like the text then its fine, otherwise people generally get turned off by so much text. Its important to have a CTA button in each section, otherwise a visitor wouldn't know what to do next.

Hi, I like the slick design, try putting the copy into more benefits-related results and keep it short. Also at the top of the page, you can have 1 or 2 CTAs to get the person going. You might lose the game if you don't catch my attention in the first 5 seconds.

landing page is simple and clean.

one concern of the idea is that it may belong to what ycombinator calls the "tarpit idea" ("These are the startup ideas that seem good — almost too good to be true! — but have been tried by many founders before with little to no success.

Tarpit ideas are often not hard in obvious ways. They might seem so easy and good that it’s unbelievable that no one has done it — but when you look a bit deeper, you realize that they have been tried. Over, and over again ")
