New Music Startup

I think it could be cool to create a website that sells vocal presets for new artists to sound like their favorite artists. For $7 you can buy a channel strip utilizing stock presets for your favorite music program and instantly sound like Travis Scott or another big artist. A lot of kids in high school are torrenting music programs, getting beats online and then they go to make a rap song or pop song and their voice sounds boring. That's where this site would come in. You can instantly sound like a pop/rap star. Instant gratification.
I realize this isn't a music forum but is this something anyone here would use?

Kids aren't going to pay for it if they're torrenting multi-hundred-dollar music making apps. It might make sense as a monetized mobile app where channel strips are IAPs. You'll probably run into legal issues real fast if you mention that it'll make your music sound like other artists. Music industry business is fickle, I'd stay as far away from it as possible unless you have gobs of VC funding.
Interesting perspective. Kids are torrenting the applications because they are initially unsure if they are interested in making music. Music making product demos are typically limited in what they offer and users want a fully usable demo. There is an application called FL studio that has taken a new approach. Basically they let users download their music making program for free and if a user wants to save a file they have to upgrade to a purchased version. Many users don't upgrade but out of the ones that do decide to upgrade, they built a successful company from it. My idea would basically integrate into these programs like FL Studio, Ableton, Logic Pro. It enhances the user experience and offers instant creative gratification. So for the segment that is just starting to make music, they typically download a beat from youtube drag it into their program (like fl studio) and try to make a song. My product is a channel strip (preset vocal setting) that will model their voice to sound a specific way. The name and likeness thing is an issue. For the different products it probably makes more sense to use words that elicit a certain vibe correlated to a particular genre of music. There is a company called cymatics.fm that has a very successful business doing this for synthesizers, i'm basically building a parallel concept but for use on vocals. For the other segment, successful producers, this product will give them power in the studio. A lot of big producers nowadays make beats in their bedroom, receive a vocal from an artist (already engineered/mixed), and make a beat around it. After a producer has a hit they start working with a lot of artists. This means they need to go in the studio and have sessions. A producer that started in their bedroom doesn't typically know how to effectively record vocals. This product will additionally work as a tool for them so that they can go into the studio and instantly make vocals sound professional. Hopefully that makes sense. If you have additional thoughts - I would be interested to hear them.
So there is already a site that helps all musicians, not only beginners. They have a whole team of people who will edit your voice, music and sync it all. I have already used their services, they are really professionals in their field. The idea is interesting but I see this more like a social network.
Normally producers already has the lyric but not the voice. They need to talk to a person who sing.

I'm not an artist. I can't sing. Why not use it for regular voice messages?
I would pay $5 for a three pack if this worked on my phone easily, and would probably buy several voice packs.
how would this work? i've never built an app. Would it be a keyboard extension or its own standalone application?
If I'm understanding you correctly, you'd be targeting real music artists? I assume they'd want to have their own vocals, not someone else's. But this is def not a niche I'm familiar with.
You mentioned what high schoolers are doing. Have you considered just making this an entertainment phone app for pre-teens and teens? I'm not sure how apps like music.ly and TikTok monetize.
This product basically enhances a music artists vocals. Most artists that aren't massive are unsure how to get their vocals to sound pristine and radio ready. It takes years of engineering experience (I have the experience and hired people who have as well). This product would basically cut the years of experience down to instantaneous access. I'm applying my years of knowledge to create a product that will give musicians the power to make their voices sound great essentially. Even if they're just starting out.
