New search engine just launched! 🙌 🚀 🍻

Hi everyone!
My name is Tyler Williams, and I'm excited to share the beta of Bestlist with everyone in hopes of receiving your feedback.

What is Bestlist?
https://bestlist.com is a privacy focused, discovery platform/search engine that focuses solely on helping users find the best of anything.

We’re currently focused only on software and services, but we plan to branch out into adjacent categories soon, iterating as we go, building the best search and discover platform. Period.

So, how does it work?
For each search query, we gather large numbers of datapoints from across the web. We aggregate feedback, measure sentiment, analyze ratings, and a lot more, to deliver you the best results.

Collections
Collections are one of my favorite parts of Bestlist. They allow you to collect and sort products you come across as you search. You can also follow other collections to get notified of any changes, and duplicate them to make them your own.

Voting
You can upvote or downvote each listing, but keep in mind, this will not effect the product’s overall ranking or rating. It will however effect your future search rankings. In order to make votes more beneficial to others, we require that you write a reason stating why you’re up or downvoting.

Submissions
If you come across a product that we're missing for a particular search query, you can easily submit it with the link at the end of the search results, and we’ll review and set it live when applicable.

We are still in beta, so you're bound to find some bugs, misspellings, and questionable search results. If you do, please let me know!
