New Side Project: GitHub Actions Dashboard - How to Validate?

Hi, Indihackers 👋🏽

I'm about to launch my new side project ➡️ https://octolense.com

The Problem
We use GitHub Actions a lot in our day-to-day development jobs. We often received emails that were telling us that our Action limit is almost exceeded and we need to pay extra.
Unfortunately, we didn't have any way to figure out which repository or workflow is causing these issues. So, we've run manual scripts to figure that out.

Usage Limit GitHub

This is where Octolense comes in, we want to give users a really easy way to understand how many GitHub Actions they are using in which repositories.

How to Validate?
We plan to launch with a simple MVP. We have no idea if there is a huge market out there for such a product. We believe it since we are dogfooding. But we still want to validate as quickly as possible.

Our goal for the launch is:

  1. Let it test some friends & use it in some organizations, for now, to check if everything is working out technically (partly done)

  2. Launch it for free. Get some users and talk to all of them. Understand feature requests and see if users & organizations need them.

  3. Build more requested features & include pricing.

Launching
For launching my idea was to launch it on Twitter, ask some DevOps-related Subreddits for advice, and probably do a PH Launch along the way.

Question for you
Do you have any suggestions on how we can validate it? I'm happy for any feedback 🙌🏽
