New side project: Tailkits
We just launched Tailkits with @hey_fk 🎉 It's still in progress, but it's good enough to reveal what we have done. It's primarily a Tailwind CSS marketplace where you can find almost any Tailwind CSS template, component, and tool ever made.
Let me tell you more about the infrastructure:
-We store everything on GitHub via Contrentrain Headless CMS and host it on Cloudflare Pages
- Tailwind CSS and Nuxt.js form the backbone of Tailkits together.
- We use Tally.so to capture emails and send emails via Email Octopus
- We track user behavior on TinyAnalytics
It would be great to hear your feedback.

One suggestion - Can you add a filter on Paid/Free?

Yes, you're right. I had the same suggestion and only later saw your message at the bottom! It's essential because not everyone wants to see a list of 200 tools in one category.

I was actually listening to a podcast about a guy that was selling Wordpress themes back in the day and I was like "Something is going to do that for Tailwind" and y'all did!!! Cool initiative man, congrats for you launch

I recently started using Tally.so for a side project I'm working on and so far, it's been great! The setup was super easy and intuitive, and I was able to create a survey and embed it on my website in just a few minutes. The dashboard is user-friendly and provides all the necessary analytics to track responses and results. I also appreciate the ability to customize the branding and design of the survey to match my website's theme. Overall, I highly recommend Tally.so for anyone looking for an efficient and easy-to-use survey tool.
You have done excellent work on tailkits! I have a suggestion: you can narrow down the filters a bit more for categories. Also, try to display a message when there are no products in a category. Currently, it shows nothing when a category with no products is selected.

The empty state problem probably is as Yucel said. However, it would be great to take a precaution about this, noted!
As for your suggestion; of course, it would be a good idea to reduce the number of filters, but we must also consider the ease of discovering products 🤔 It seems we will reconsider the filters carefully 💥

Site is very slick, but it's a competitive space, especially given tailwind and flowbite themselves, what do you think makes it different?
If you filter out all the garbage, it’s not that competitive. There’s always a market for quality.
I agree with you, @daon39u90ane. It is competitive but we can drive more traffic if we help visitors to find the products they are looking for faster with better insights. We'll see, I'll share the details.
The website says that stuff is curated, which implies it doesn't include everything. Would you mind clarifying?
For me personally, I'd prefer something that is pretty heavily curated. I've actually been in the market for a good component library. I currently use Chakra but would like something better (more components mostly, but also better documentation and slightly nicer looking). I'd pay a lot of money for the right library.
Also, I'm looking at the Tailkit Component Library now.

We are adding new Tailwind CSS resources and updating the content daily. Most of the good Tailwind CSS templates and components will be added to Tailkits.
For Tailkits I am sure they have 400 different UI components but included components on our page do not mention how many components that category has. So you can find a total of 400 components when you visit Tailkits.com They also have some free components to try.
