I'm aiming for my session recording tool to be affordable and focused on helping other web devs find UX issues by watching recordings of their users interacting with their web apps.
https://scryspell.com
I like the product idea, but the landing page copy feels flat and more like documentation than a pitch. The headline in particular doesn’t hit the pain point. Instead of “Scry Analytics shows where users struggle,” you could try:
“Watch where users drop off and fix it before you lose conversions.”
A subheadline that emphasizes ease and speed could be:
“See exactly how visitors interact with your site. Session replays, auto event tracking, and insights are all set up in under 5 minutes.”
Even the call to action could be stronger if it promised immediacy, for example:
“Start Free Trial and See Your First Replay Today.”
The pricing section is clear, which is good, but right now it just lists features. You could make it more persuasive by tying the price to value, for example:
“Starter $8.5 per month. Perfect for small projects and websites with up to 5,000 recordings per month. Everything you need to spot drop-offs and improve conversions.”
This way it shows who the plan is for and why it matters, not just the numbers.
Thanks for the awesome suggestions! I'll work on incorporating these.
im sorry. this is just a very bad craft worst than generic bootstrap website. the content is terrible and hardly viewable. there also isnt enough of it. The copy is kind of simple, but I had to force myself to reread everything in order to understand what it does. You would be better off recording a quick demo for something this small. The value prop isnt there. mainly why i would use this over something that is more robust.
I like the demo idea, thanks. Also I hear you on needing to make the value prop clear.

Hey mate! I chucked your website into my free audit tool Optimi Studio and it gave me the following feedback for your site. Weirdly, I had to use screenshots because your website is using something that's blocking my tool. Usually this happens when a website leverages JS too much - crawlers like Google struggle to pick things up. I'd recommend checking that this isn't impacting your SEO.
Hope the notes below help!
(I had to summarise the full audit because it was lengthyyy)
The website scores 32/100 because it talks about features first instead of the real problems customers face. The problems described are too vague, don’t name a clear audience, and don’t show what happens if the issues aren’t fixed. The site doesn’t build urgency or use strong emotions like fear of losing sales or falling behind competitors. The solution sounds generic and too much like other tools.
The design and call-to-action button are good, but trust signals like customer reviews, expert proof, and guarantees are missing. To improve, the site should:
In short: good design, but weak story. The site needs to show the pain, the cost of doing nothing, and the unique value to convince people to act.
The tool also gave some alternative copy (with example stats):
Current: "Shows where users struggle"
Optimised: "Reveals exactly why 67% of your website visitors leave without converting - and what to fix first"
Psychology: Creates urgency with specific statistics and promises immediate actionable insights
Current: Minimal problem agitation
Optimised: "While you're guessing what's wrong with your site, competitors are stealing customers every day. Each visitor who leaves frustrated costs you $47 in potential revenue (average across our client base)"
Psychology: Uses loss aversion and competitive fear while providing specific financial impact
Current: Generic analytics features
Optimised: "Get actionable conversion insights in 60 seconds, not 60 hours. Our AI identifies your top 3 conversion killers instantly, with one-click fixes that typically boost conversions by 23%"
Psychology: Emphasises speed, specificity, and proven results with social proof
Hi Chris.
You do a nice job of describing what the product is and the main features. But it's missing the benefits.
Instead of leading with a description of the product, focus on the potential customer. Explain how your product will solve a pain point or make things better/easier. Answer "Why should they care?"
Then present the product as the "how."
For the first CTA, I would consider making it a bit shorter/simpler with something like "Try it FREE!" No need to hit all the specifics in a button.
I would add a benefit-oriented subhead to the features section.
Also, try to anticipate potential objections, questions or other friction that could get in the way of someone signing up. For instance, I'm not in your target audience, but my thought would be "I don't have time to watch thousands of recordings."
Hope all that helps. Best of luck.
Thanks so much Sean! This is all very helpful
