Newsletter and Mailing list management tools (self-hosted)?

I am currently researching self-hosted mailing list managers that provide a good API and can easily be integrated in our apps.

The reasons to go with a self-hosted solution is mainly full control over data and the cheaper price for larger lists (e.g. with all users).

So far I really like https://listmonk.app which looks easy to use and providing just the right features. As e-mail service I thought about Amazon SES.
(if anybody wants to try it, I'm creating a heroku deploy button to auto-deploy it.)

What are your favorite mailing list tools? Is anybody using listmonk?
