Newsletter industry study
Would it be interesting to write a comprehensive analysis of the newsletter industry with data about how much top newsletters make, the major players, etc? Or if someone can point to a study like that already done, would be awesome to have a look.
Great timing! I'm actually been thinking of putting together something like this because I've been considering starting a newsletter business myself. There are so many companies doing great work. One of my personal favorites is Exploding Topics. Another (which happens to be one of our customers) is Software Ideas. Newsletters are pretty hot right now so if you can provide insights and numbers/revenue about the Major(or even medium) players I am sure people will be interested(and me personally).
Cool, who do you consider the major and medium players...beyond Morning Brew, The Hustle and theskimm?
To be completely honest I only read the Morning brew(and their emerging tech edition) and I consider them to be pretty major. I know some people like Robinhood Snacks for finance and Buffer have a good amount of following as well.
