https://exploreandobserve.com/ I'm working on building an audience for my newsletter and appreciate any feedback on the landing page, idea, execution, etc!
Hey @outWest
The bottom menu is a smart move! I might not be the right readers, but it's a nice execution.
I'm also working on a little side project, excited to hear your feedback!
Some logo or brand identity might help.
For the landing page, I've really enjoyed the https://www.producthunt.com/ship layouts they have for email capture.
Simplicity and color also go a long way like https://www.densediscovery.com/
Subscribed. Looking forward to getting some emails!
Thanks for the feedback! I will check out Ship.
My goal was to keep it relatively simplistic, and I like that Dense Discover example. Your eye is really drawn to the subscription bar in that case. Will cogitate on it and see what I can do.
A few notes:
Turn the email input and subscribe button into a color. Pop it out. Draw the eye there.
Put a shortened version of the about page below the fold (after the subscribe button). Just 2 sentences, or 3 bullet points about who you are.
Create a bulleted list of the best things someone will find in past articles. Yes you have an archive section but put this list under the subscribe input. And then don't link from those items to the archive. Link directly to the edition.
Thanks for your thoughts Andrew, much appreciated!
Will see what I can do about changing the format of the subscribe button. Unfortunately, my developer skills are lacking so I'm just using a wordpress plugin and not sure how much flexibility I have to change things within it.
I like your other suggestions, will definitely include a bulleted list of what you might find in past articles. I can also add a couple lines about who I am on the splash page, that makes sense.
