Newsletter to connect big business advertisers with influencers/content creators

Some background info: I'm not a marketer, but I spend a lot of time (hours and hours a week!!) on YouTube, Twitch, and other social media platforms enjoying the content from my favorite channels, and I know how powerful these content creators are in regards to showing off products and influencing consumers. Makers usually post their business contact information somewhere on the channel or website, but you have to really go digging for it sometimes.

The Plan: What I'm planning to do is build a database of the business contact information and make it accessible to companies who are looking to find top content creators across all channels: YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, etc.

Should I set this up as:

  • A subscription website model where you can access the full database via a website only if logged in as a paid user, or
  • A subscription email newsletter where you select the categories you are interested in, and get a custom email with leads weekly?

I'm thinking (optimistically), that if things were going well and I had many companies subscribed, content creators would want to contact me about including them as a hot lead, indicating in the next newsletter that they are actively seeking sponsorship or advertisers.

Since I can search the web for business inquiry contact information from popular content creators without needing to contact them, I have not reached out to them about (1) how they typically lock down a deal with advertisers/sponsors, or (2) how I could help them. Should I prioritize this over all else?
