Next steps after sales validation? $32 in sales 1 week after launch
Hi, this is my first post here but I’ll get right to it. About 2 weeks ago I launched my MVP, it’s an app for the Oculus Quest that enables people to transform their walls into a mixed reality landscape.
I set it up so that buyers can choose to pay a min price of $1 or a max price of $5. Since I publicly released it a week ago I’ve made a total of $32 (19 customers).
I know it's not much but I’ve at least validated the basic premise that people are willing to pay for my app. My 2 sales channels have been Gumroad and Ithco.io and I know most of my customers are on Reddit.
My question is what should be my next steps now that I know this? I’ve already collected some user feedback for new features and bugs. Should I start development on the next release?
Did you continue to follow up with your existing customers? What’s to stop someone from paying $10 or $20? If you’ve been in this situation what was your next move after you validated with sales?

Thats sounds like a good sign.
Reddit could be a true growth channel for niche problems like this one.
For example, see FounderBeats StageTimer App interview where the founders saw some good success with Reddit.
On top of that, this is platform based product for Oculus, you could see good spike if you get some coverage and mention from them sometime down the lane.
I would suggest you to iterate and post on to Reddit multiple times and get continuous feedback.
