NFTJob Marketplace

Recently I have been intrigued with NFTs (1 year of experience) and thought about how we could comingle NFTs with the real world. I thought I would try and set up a no-code marketplace and have done so using Airtable & Carrd.

The Marketplace was simple to create, perhaps spending 1 hour of my time and $20 for the Carrd pro tier needed to embed the Airtable database.

The way I approached this, albeit more manual, is any company looking to post a job relating to the NFT space would be charged $99 per job, which I manually would need to approve after confirming payment. Not ideal, but a good way to test the market and confirm if this solution is viable.

Now, what I envision for the platform is a company looking to integrate NFTs as part of its business model (this is explained briefly on the site). In my view, it's a win-win for both the business from a revenue perspective and also from a customer perspective, gaining unique royalties for holding that particular NFT.

My question is would you use such a platform?
What could I improve upon?
Do you have any feedback?

Thanks!!!

    Hi Paolo,

    This is a cool idea.

The trouble is overcoming the cold start problem of building a two-sided marketplace.

There is a growing demand for NFT related services on platforms like Fiverr so there is a clear demand and supply. Your challenge is to convince those people to come to your platform when no one else is there.

I think I would focus on discrete productized services, rather than having companies post job offers. These sound like one-off projects rather than hiring for a position. Check out Fiverr for the type of gigs that are popular.

This makes it much easier for buyers to purchase. However, you'd need a different business model than $99 ads.

    I hope this helps.

Hey, thanks for your comments. To clarify and ensure I understand your comments, instead of focusing on companies to post a job, focus on one-off projects instead. So basically being NFT version of fivver? Did I understand you correctly?

Exactly. It is very hard to get companies to pay $99 to post an NFT job, because...

They are probably not hiring someone full-time.
A new platform is unlikely to have many good applicants.
NFTs are still too new, so most companies don't know what they need yet.
They probably need people with multiple skillsets, not one person.

A project-based marketplace is much easier to understand for both sides.
"get a professional NFT discord server for $200"
"I will generate 1k nfts and metadata for ethereum solana for $100"

Combine it with an NFT focused newsletter and you could probably get a lot of traction quickly.
