I’m working on VisaReady, a startup job board for folks who need visa sponsorship in the USA. I’ll be vetting (probably manually) that all startups on it have sponsored at least one visa in the past.
Should I hand curate and have a smaller number of well known startups for launch? (I was thinking 20 to be ready to launch) I would charge companies for just having a posting on the site. Or should I add a lot of companies for free to start off with, and charge folks for appearing in the newsletter, showing up on the home page, etc?
Thanks for the input!
hey @indievisahacker any updates on your project?
No I didn't end up doing it.
what made you give up on it? Sounds like it could have been useful
How's this going? I have roughly the same project for Canada that I've been meaning to start for far too long.
I didn't end up doing this.
Bummer, because there's about to be a lot of H-1B visas denied, so I hear. I wonder if these workers can get a new sponsor and new visa, or if they have to leave?
I relaunched the website https://www.visaready.io/ but don't have any job postings. Now just to do the right marketing to bring companies who're sponsoring Visas on the platform..
Awesome! I'd like to chat about a collaboration - blake@emigro.io
