Niche name vs general name
I'm in the stage of naming my newsletter. It's going to be called something like "C# for non-devs". But, I hope to venture into other areas, like different frameworks, programming languages, hosting solutions, etc.
The niche name makes it crystal clear who the intended audience is, but the general name gives me future leeway. Any advice on which I should choose?
What’s the general alternative? “I’ll C# myself out”? Dad joke aside, maybe you can walk the line with something cute and memorable but still nodding to your early subs.
+1 for this ! I don't know much about C# but this is a catchy name, might work

Also, you should do a google search first and see what shows up in auto-suggest.
When I type "learn c#" (without the quotes), google auto-suggest shows:
learn c# for unity
learn c# free
learn c# in one day
learn c# pdf
learn c# book
learn c# .net
learn c# for game development
When I search "C# for non-devs" (again without quotes), there are 9.6M results.
When I search for C# for dummies there are only 816k results.
I'm not a developer, but if I wanted to learn C# for some reason, I wouldn't search for 'c# for non devs'. I would likely start with with the dummies search above, because I mentally correlate those books with being easy to understand.
My recommendation would be make it memorable and easy to understand -- like ilovecsharp (or something equally as memorable).

My suggestion would be to go in for a general name as long as you are 200% sure that you will continue the newsletter for long.
Probably using your name (Pharlap's newsletter or something on those lines) may also do you good in long run, in terms of SEO, reach & identity.

I've let myself get side tracked trying to think of future-proof names all too often :(
Describe what it is right now, not what it might be at some point in the future!
