Niching down or not? As a Digital Consultant

Hi, all...

As I'm making new changing and improvements to my website at the moment, I'm thinking about being more transparent and communicate, that I want to help lifestyle brands and beauty salons/cliniques, and also marketing agencies.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this as it's 3 different audiences and offers I can help with.
Should I be more narrow/broad?

Any good/bad experiences?

You have to walk a very fine line with this because catering too much to a specific niche might make your other potential customers take you less seriously or less professionally. On the other hand, it's also okay to showcase your various skills and many would find the multi-faceted approach impressive.

Yeah, this is a difficult question to answer. 🙃

Why less seriously or less professionally?

But yes it is... Should I not focus on a specific niche but more on my skills or expertise, maybe?

Well, it's all about you as a brand and the dilution of that brand. If you're too broad, you risk dilution and will come across as inconsistent; if you're too hyper-focused, some of your skills are left out to dry and you can paint yourself in a corner.

True it's hard. Maybe I should just improve what I have and see where it goes.

Maybe so, but @anakravitz also makes a really good point, which is what makes it so difficult. I wish I could be of more help.

Cool, Ana! Exactly the same case here.

I know a little about everything and worked mostly with social media management but also the websites.

So you also think it's better to narrow down your expertise and skills and not the industry?
But then in my content, I could use them as examples, maybe instead...

I will offer Social Media packages and then extra offers for help with their website, technical issues, etc.
And I offer 10 hours of digital assistance primarily for agencies and other freelance consultants.
And I'm considering offering 1:1 educational hours aswell.
