Nike, Informa, Converse, NYU, Zoho - All joined our Newsletter 🥳🥳

We set up 'TrendingUP' as a side project around 3 months ago. The third newsletter goes out on August 1st.

In that time we've gone from 0 - 300 subs, including those names above. I'm well chuffed.

Nothing much more to say - just wanted to celebrate with a community that might understand how cool that is!

That is great well done. How are most subscribers discovering your newsletter?

      Thanks!

Right now all subs are coming via social media and the readers forwarding the email on to contacts and colleagues.

There are plans to launch it on PH, but not yet! I'd like to get to 1,000 subs by the end of September. Ambitious but hoping we can do it.

Congratulations! I subbed not too long ago and have seen your work. I'm happy for you guys. I've discovered you in February) It is cool that the newsletter is becoming more popular. Still, don't forget about quality, it is really important nowadays, especially because of the internet improvement and the industries that use it. One of the industries that have become more profitable and popular is sneaker shopping. I am a sneaker shopper, so I always check the newsletter from grailify.com. It seems more comfortable for me.

Amazing! Congratulations! I’ve just subbed! Right up my street.

I just launched my own newsletter offering free advice for startups and industry pros. Would love your feedback if you would be so kind? 😇

Thanks Sanya! Hopefully you find the newsletter useful!

I'll check out your newsletter too! 100+ subs in a week is great - what was your strategy?

      1. 1

Awesome - thank you. Feedback is VERY welcome :)

Strategy has been relatively organic so far- I've been working in my subject industry for years so I think a lot of colleagues (old and new) have been interested in it whenever I've posted on social media about it - particularly Instagram (surprisingly) and LinkedIn.

I'm trying to plan an outreach strategy now though... Although I think this is going to be very time consuming and tiring. Have you done anything like this already?

Which social media have you focused on so far? And what kind of content is working well for you?

        1. 1

Twitter has been a good channel for us, and LinkedIn. Sites like Indie Hackers, Product Hunt and Hacker News also help spread the message when we've got something valuable to share - not just promote our services.

Outreach definitely takes time, but it's regularly cited as a fantastic marketing exercise, so could be worth it.

As for content - I always lean into sharing value. If my content is answering someone's questions or sharing a new point of view on an engaging topic, then it always does well. As a content strategist, that's what I suggest to all companies.
