No Code Accelerator (Alpha)

Hi Everyone,

I'm excited to announce we're going to do an alpha run of our no-code accelerator. We're going to select 5 companies and help them:

  • build their product
  • launch their product
  • raise money (or make money) depending on the goals.

What it entails:

  • 8-week program
  • Meet virtually every week
  • We'll help you build your product
  • We'll help you validate your idea
  • We'll help you find funding if/when you're ready

We won't be charging for this in any way.

I'd strongly prefer the 5 people come from IH so if you know a lurker on here just "@" them and tell them to apply!

Requirements:

  • some work you've done to validate the idea and the market
  • you work on sales and marketing as hard as we do on your product for the entire 8 weeks.

I'd like to get this started in Feb, but I'm more focused on getting the right people together.

Why I'm doing this:

  1. I don't know where this will lead to. Perhaps raising a fund, perhaps not, but the best way to find out is to give it a try.
  2. I need NoCo.io to get beat up a little bit so that the product can evolve (or be killed)

@wrannaman This appears to be too good to be true, so I have applied too :D

I am a developer and I know how complicated and time (and money) consuming the development process can be and I am open to ideas that save my time.

I have been hearing a lot of negativity about the whole no-code or low-code movement, mostly related to code lock in, unoptimized code, limitations of functionality available and so on.
I applied because "No-Code" appears to address most of those concerns.

Would love to explore more and evaluate for other projects.

we'll truthfully some of it is true. All tools have limitations. My solution to this so far is to let people write code if they need to :)

I'm confused, so do you use a platform like bubble.io/webflow by designing the webapp then you add integrations using zappier, stripe, into the webapp design through bubble? how does this work? This is unclear.

    Hi Andrew,
would your platform be suitable for SaaS that utilizes Google Contacts data and also Google calendar?

    Are applications still open?

I've validated the idea and got some traction and customers . The biggest bottleneck is quality product.

How's the progress on this initiative?

I'm not sure if this idea has wings in it's current form.

Well, I wasn't quite ready when you announced this, but if you move forward with something like this then I would be interested.

Just submitted! Looking forward to seeing you execute this. Also, nice Typeform implementation I just started experimenting with it yesterday for the form logic.

It would be interesting if your accelerator could somehow provide upgraded accounts to all the no-code solutions. For finding PMF and creating an MVP some of the premium fees get steep if using 3-4 different solutions.

    Hi Andrew!

I filled out your form with my idea salesperson.fyi.

No matter if I get accepted to your program or not this is an awesome idea and would love to follow your journey and the five companies that you partner with.

    Hope to speak soon!

    Haider

Also I just looked at Startup Ladder. I really like your focus on non tech peeps, well played.

Really cool idea @wrannaman just signed up

That's... great! I just joined IndieHacker a few days ago and looks like my timing is perfect :)
As an enterprise software guy that wants to build a consumer app I would love to be involved.

I'm not afraid of writing code but I just don't know where to start!

Anyway I can audit or follow the companies you run through? Not interested in running through the programming but would love to see the the results!

Depending on people's comfort level, if there's value in the weekly meetings, I'd like to post them to youtube.

I think all of the "work" being done in accelerator would be rather consumable by the YT crowd.
