No-code backend

Are there any no-code back-end solutions?

I have a front-end template and I'm looking for a no-code back-end solution that does not involve redoing the front-end in webflow or bubble.io

I just want a tool that I can integrate with my front-end to add signups and other features that require a DB.

Thanks.

Busywork.co is what your are looking for I think

https://clay.run is what you're looking for

pretty cool, haven't seen this product yet!

    3. 1

Maybe. I've talked with them and we'll have a call soon.

      1. 1

But yea, if you are looking for an established product, I would second using Bubble as backend

Hey @Gonelf you can actually use Bubble as a backend without using it's frontend.

Their API workflows and Data API lets you set up REST endpoints that you can expose (with or w/ out authentication) to expose data to whatever front end you want.

I'd be happy to do a live demo/screen recording if there's interest in seeing this in action.

Yes, if you have a video on that I'd love to watch it.

Firebase, aws amplify, depending on what you need netlify also provides some backend functions like auth, forms and functions. However, you still need to write JS code for all of these.

    1. 1

      Yes, those I know already.
I was looking for something no-code that I could use to connect to the front-end and handles auth, forms, uploads but not only front-end JS.

I try to understand better what you are looking for more precisely: Lets assume you have a pure html/css template. How would you like to put/integrate this magical no-code solution into your template? What is your expectation exactly? How would you define the "logic" without coding? Take for example auth: The authentication can be handled "no-code" with, for example, Auth0 universal login widget, but how would you define which page is available to which users without putting enforcement into you template by coding this logic?

        1. 1

The way you ask those questions makes me think you aren't aware of how real these "magical" solutions ;)

        2. 1

Something like that but I'm ok with adding some logic to the front-end like blocking pages and/or elements.
I just want something that let me configure the collections and gives me code snipers to out on the fromt-end

    Do you know about relate.app?

Relate is a visual development environment for fast, live, collaboration between designers and developers; Relate translates every designed object into code and code into designed objects.

While a designer uses Relate's visual editor, beautiful code is generated in the background and can be published anywhere.

Developers can seamlessly integrate this code in their code without worrying too much about UI, it's given to them, so they focus on function and real problems.

Check out Backendless. They have integration guides specifically for Bubble and Webflow.

try www.procesio.com although we are in private beta until July 2021. You will be able to build a frontend on the platform as well as of 2022 so it might be worth the time invested

So many but I don't know what you're doing. If it's like a dashboard I would go with retool.com, internal.io, or jetadmin.io probably. But if you want a more robust backend with specific integrations then definitely try using 8base because that's powerful!

I think we are doing something similar by Tabbli.
This is a featured job-board for the Project Logistics industry.
Our front-end part is not nocode yet, but let's say lowcode. We are going to make templates fro multiple using of it.
Even we've thoughts to use webflow as a frontend part.
What is the best for now, we are completely flexible to use our internal data organically.
And we can discuss how we integrate with front-end like Webflow or similar.

You might find something you need here:

We've tried that to connect with airtable and ended up not using it since the response times were a bit high.

    Check these guys out: https://www.cloudcanal.io
Never tried them but seem to do what you need in conjunction with other tools already referenced by other replies.

  11. 1

Can you be more specific about your needs?

    You mention:

    to add signups

    I'd use MemberStack.io for that.

and other features that require a DB

    Can't help unless you're more specific ;-)

    1. 1

I've tried memberstack and I really liked it but it does not have public profiles so I'd have to hack that

      1. 1

        Hmmm... I don't think that's correct: https://www.memberstack.io/tutorial/multi-step-signup-forms

That all said, sounds like everything you're going to do will require a bit of a "hack" regardless :-)

        1. 1

Yes, you can update the profile but only after you're logged in.
In that case, I prefer to code my own back-end rather than hacking the front-end (which I did) and lose a lot of UX in loading times.

          1. 1

            Sorry but...

Yes, you can update the profile but only after you're logged in.

You allow user profiles to be edited when that user is NOT logged in??

and lose a lot of UX in loading times

I'm not sure how much you'd lose (if any at all), they provide a popup that inherits your current themes CSS and they give you the ability to override parts if needed.

Anywho! I don't think I can add much for you here :-) Good luck!

            1. 1

              Maybe I've explained myself wrong.
I do not wish to let users to edit profiles without being logged in, but I want any user to access a list of registered users.
Regarding the loading times, I've made some testing with the memberstack plugin + airtable and it took a couple of seconds to load alone, and more even retrieving users info.
              Thanks.

              1. 1

but I want any user to access a list of registered users.

That's easy enough to do. What's the issue?

                1. 1

                  How would you do that?

                  1. 1

Use Zapier. When MemberStack has a new member created, Zapier can dump that to Airtable, Google Sheet's, Webflow CMS, where ever and you've got your list! (of course you have to query/embed that from this DB storage to your front end, but that's trivial).
