No-Code Gurus: Have a couple questions for you…

What should someone who is not super familiar with no-code be educated on?
Is there a “hybrid stack” using these tools but where would you recommend custom code?
What are some no-code full-stacks right now? Best companies in space etc.?

Any insights are appreciated.

@felix12777 Thanks for sharing your tech stack. Nice sites! Being able to hybridize is what interests me the most also. Zapier looks like the place to start to determine if you need to create custom modules or if using existing apps and gluing them together is all you need. I would like more customization but being able to build an app end-to-end with these services is very cool.

Very interesting conversation @pgdev - I actually tweeted this just now.

Keen to hear from experts the "hybrid stack"

For me, I built Virtual Mojito with Notion, Zapier, Airtable, ImprovMX, Substack and Bitly.

    Hi @pgdev

I've just started learning no code in the last couple of weeks.
I did a fair amount of research before jumping in.
It seems that Bubble.io has the fullest feature set (over something Carrd and Webflow).
It's pretty incredible how rich the features are on some bubble only apps (i would have a listen to their podcast to give you some ideas).

I started doing some courses. I stared with the HelloGuru course....it seemed pretty good but it was building a twitter clone and I needed to build a marketplace

I've since started doing the course from zeroqode.
    The instructor is excellent.
Some of the videos are out of date though so you need to adjust the lessons for the current version of bubble.

Cool, I'll look into those courses. Bubble not having a self-hosted solution is a major drawback. I don't think developers or "full-coders" will want to be forced to lock into a platform like that. Works for all-in-one solution seekers though. This space is growing fast. Good luck and keep learning :)

The biggest myth I see is that a lot of people perceive no-code as an easy way to build apps without learning. Well the learning curve is still pretty steep!

Hi @pgdev. This is a good question. We are trying to help non technical creators and entrepreneurs start their businesses with Startup Sanctuary.

Another place is Makerpad where they are specifically educating people on building with no-code tools.

Is this more in line with what you are looking for?

      @gordon, thanks for the resources.

Interesting stuff. Have to look more into the editors like bubble, adalo and the plugin style apps like airtable, typeform etc..

The tools that use airtables and google sheets to build an app is the most interesting use cases for me so far.

These tools will definitely modify my strategy a little. The mantra of “don’t reinvent the wheel” is pinging with this stuff. I think I have to see how you could integrate these into a custom platform to streamline and quicken dev times.

Found some of my answers on stacks here:

Have to keep my eye out about how others use these tools more.

Great stuff @pgdev. Yes there is certainly a bit of a learning curve with tools like Bubble and Adalo. Great that you are finding answers!
