No-code or code on new projects?

Why (time, flexibility, etc) & What (no-code tool, framework, etc.)

Start with code or a no-code tool?
  1. No-code tool (Appsheet, Honeycode, etc.)
  2. Fork a project or use a generator to generate real code

    Well, that's opinionated 😅

Most projects/products could do with a no-code MVP, that's for sure. I recently talked to a friend who got into this whole productized service thing. He built a management platform and used some open-source stuff to create a customer dashboard. That's about a month of dev time before he got selling.

Meanwhile at embarque.io, I cobbled together a static site, integrated with Stripe Checkout, put together a few Zaps and an Airtable during a free afternoon. We sold a 4-figure subscription within the first week....

But yes, for many other products UX and a product stands out is key. I'd just never invalidate the power of existing platforms, especially at the start.
