No Code Tutorial Suggestions

I've been heads down working on NoCo for a while now, and it's time to start showing people what they can build with it. Do you have any suggestions for an app to build for a no-code tutorial?

So far it seems there's a lot of interest around:

  • directory listing sites (eg: real-estate listings, pet adoption site)
  • double-sided marketplaces (eg: airbnb, uber)
  • Simple Social Network
  • Dating App

Anything in particular you'd like to see?

I'm planning on doing a video and then making the app a template so people don't have to start building it from scratch.

With me the key to good tutorials is a project that is complex enough that it could be "real world" but not so complex that it detracts from the the tutorial. I have always found that Wes Bos does this very well in his courses. If I recall one was online Fresh fish shop it was a simple concept to grasp that used a lot of features.

I don't think I've seen one of his courses, I'll take a look. Thanks for the advice!

Hey, what no-code tools are you planning to use?

    1. 1

I'd like to first see if my no-code product could handle it (NoCo). And if not, build up the features so it would be possible with NoCo.

How to create Good Design with bubble, i know it would be niche but so many People struggling with bubble about design

That's a really interesting point I hadn't thought much about. My tool currently uses Material UI so you can make it look however you want, but out of the box, the defaults look pretty good.

good Luck for your next step, i ve just take a look first reaction was your design is awesome and second reaction was what isn't known

        1. 2

          Thanks!

Not sure I understand your second reaction, but if it's "I was super confused on how to build stuff once I logged in" then I'd understand. Hence this post to make some tutorials and some templates so people don't have to start from scratch :)

I m sorry for the misunderstanding, i m french so when i do some commentaries with my Phone(which i ordinarily use in my Language) ,it turns sentences in bad english.

Ah I understand now. NoCo is really new. It's still in Alpha. I am looking for a few brave people looking to build something though. If you have an idea you're exploring, I'd love to help you build it on NoCo!

@wrannaman: hello sir, i would create an app for swappng toy (need location, profil, picture, and messaging function), do you think it's possible with your tool ?

                  1. 2

Yes I think it would be. I can do a tutorial for you and perhaps make a template. I can get it to you next week. It probably won't be exactly what you need but should give you a nice place to start.

Hello OK thank you very much, and i wish you a Happy New year

I think people are missing the distinction between your brand/product "NoCo" and the generic "no code" topic.

I think the real estate listing management concept is a good one as it's applicable internationally, is a data structure people can wrap their head around and has some existing prop-tech/accommodation products/brands that folks can "borrow" good design ideas from if they want to follow along building their own app.

Happy to test it out @wrannaman!

PS @newletsgetit I'm putting together a little tutorial on this -- would be keen to get your feedback

Thanks @ej. It wasn't about NoCo, just wanted to see what people are interested in building with no-code tools broadly. Invariably, "you can build anything" turns into "build a clone of X".

Thank you for the clarification, i m taking note and i will give you this on the week-end, can i give you feedback in your site ?

          always appreciate that :)
