No ideas for backend products
I have always been a backend developer. I am not interested in making websites/webapps. I feel like this already limits what products I can create in general.
Can't think of a single backend problem to solve that is simple enough to do by myself or hasn't already been solved by existing/standard tools. Even if I find something I don't see how to turn it into a product to sell.
Any ideas for someone like me?
My guess would be to try different things. Maybe start something that doesn't have money, just enjoy doing that. Maybe then, after doing that, you find the idea you were looking for before.
Think on lines of automation on existing platforms. Something using Slack API, notion API, GitHub Actions.
Something as simple as remembering teammates birthdays and sending reminders can be monetized.
Also, the first version of whatever you make mostly might not be monetized. Iteration is the key.
