No-SQL vs SQL
I've have been a SQL developer since I started with PHP 10 yrs ago. I have no idea why a no-sql db like mongo would be any worse or better.
Is there clear pros and cons? Or is it a React vs Angular vs Vue type argument?

I would say that there are clear pros and cons, but none of the two is better for all use cases.
In a nutshell: when you have lot of relations within the data, and you need to enforce a clear schema that will evolve over time, you probably want to stick to relational databases.
On the other hand, if you don't care about the structure and relations too much, noSQL will be a good choice. Although I think that a lot of work is being done to make noSQL suitable for classical relational database use cases as well.
