Non-musicians are Using Suno as an Emotional Outlet.

It's crazy to think that session musicians (hmm.. ) people who have dedicated probably their entire lives to their craft — have zero emphasis towards the person sitting at home using what they'd call a...

sLoP-MaChiNE...

like Suno just to process a feeling they can't even fully explain yet.

I get both sides. But let me finish...

AI music debate collapses into the same four questions within about three comments:

Is it real music?

stealing?

replacing musicians?

Or low-effort garbage?

Those are fair questions. Especially around copyright, ethics, platform flooding, and everything blowing up legally right now. I'm not dismissing any of that.

They're not uploading to DistroKid. They're not in any comment section arguing about whether AI music is legitimate. They made one song. Maybe two. And they didn't share it with anyone. It's just sitting on their phone.

Not for others to hear.

But for themselves.

These are people who are grieving and don't know how to talk about it.

People sitting with anxiety they can't explain to anyone around them.

People processing a relationship that ended badly, a chapter of their life that closed without warning, something they've been carrying so long they stopped noticing the weight of it.

And there was no song that fit. Not exactly. Not the way it needed to.

So they opened Suno at 1am and they typed it out. Not a prompt really. More like a confession.

And something came back that sounded like the inside of what they were feeling. And they sat with it for an hour and cried and felt something move that hadn't moved in months.

turn what's unspoken into sound. The ones they can use to finnallyyy (let it all outtt).

Choosing a mood forces you to name what you're feeling. Writing even a rough lyric idea forces you to articulate something you've been avoiding.

Hearing the first version come back wrong and changing it — that process of trying again — is itself a kind of therapy. You're slowly figuring out what you were actually trying to say.

That can unlock something.

And these people are not on stage claiming to be musicians. They're not in this sub arguing about v5 vs v6. (who's better and who's not)

They don't care about any of that. They made something private and personal because they needed to release what was inside them and they had no other way to do it.

No instrument. No producer friend. No music theory. No studio.

Just a feeling too heavy to keep carrying around unnamed.

Suno gave them somewhere to put it.

Sessioned musicians who've spent their whole lives turning emotion into sound —

"it's hard to make one" ...

But these things arrived and it became a removed obstacle.

It was never about the machine.

If the song is made entirely on someone's else's loved one who passed away...even if it is just synthetic, would you still criticize it?
