Non-Organically Growing my LinkedIn Followers: Sending Out a 1000 of Message in Minutes.

I wanted to give this a shot in where I message folk to grow my non-profit. My template is as follows for the initial connection and I have tested it out on 400 connections or so.

My name is Sul and I am author of Global-Chem.
An Open Source Government Knowledge graph of
Common Chemical Names to 1-D Molecule.

I recorded the chemicals for all 425 ingredients to 
Cannabis Sativa as a template chemical list.

I think it would be useful to map the compositions of chemicals
to their phylogeny for characterization of different strains.

Would love to connect.

I joined as many cannabis groups as I can on LinkedIn where if you belong to the same group you can send a message.

I then joined about 20-30 cannabis groups and started sending out this message as a test. It worked. However, I got burned out from sending messages all the time.

What I then did is use the linkedin_api and go through my initial connections. Chances and their connections. Chances are they would have belong in the same group.

I about a 1000 messages today in 1 minute before hitting the throttle. and some were duplicates which I regret but not much I can do there. Maybe check to see if existing conversation.

I don't know if this is the correct marking path to go down. Something new to try or pivot too. I wonder if I link to crunchbase it will be performant.
