Non tech founders - have you searched for some development basics before starting your thing?

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I’m looking for a bit of insight here, from non technical managers of all sorts: founders, project managers or anything in between.

I am developer who was tech PM in a couple of previous companies.
While there I saw that my non-tech colleague PMs sometimes needed just a hint of how something worked to up their game a lot (often times they were better PMs than me, it was the tech part that was making me valuable in some situations).

I’ve had this idea since then, but never explored it.

I am wondering if there is a need/search for some basic understanding for development things from non tech managers. Maybe an 1on1 session or video course is hidden in there.

If you are a non technical founder, how did you select your first technical person (being that cofounder, employee or partnering company)?
Did someone do that for you?

Thanks in advance.

I am a non-technical founder. At the beginning, I looked into freelancing platforms but seemed untrustworthy (I found multiple people having the same project in their portfolio). Since then, I discovered no-code tools and for my business (12 people, low 7 figures) they more than good enough.

However, a friend of mine looking for developers paid a "consultant" to do the hiring process for him.

      Thank you for replying.

It is really amazing what one can achieve with ready to use saas products and also with no-coding platforms like bubble.is.

Luqa this is awesome - as a fellow non-tech founder, I'm curious what your product is and do you have recommendations on which no-code tools you recommend?

I do b2b sales for other businesses and have a community for business advice. The first is on webflow and makes most of the revenue, the second is on bubble.

I can't recommend a tool without knowing your goal.

If you need a CMS or a ecommerce with blogging, webflow. Ecommerce without blogging Shopify. Webapp, Saas, marketplace or community bubble.io. For mobile apps adalo. For landing pages carrd carrd or landen. For landing pages with CMS landen.

Amazing suggestions - thank you for sharing Luqa. Really appreciate sharing a bunch and their specialty because I am still discovering what to do next.
